Little wins lead to big things

Almost done with 2024 and I am just now writing my first blog of the year! This year was so unique and memorable, with good and bad all coming my way to make me stronger and test my faith.
I kicked off the year by beginning a new decade of my life. I also started in January without a full-time job for the first time in a very long time. It felt odd, yet amazing at the same time. Freelancing has given me the liberty to schedule my work around my life and not my life around my work. This allowed me to devote a lot of time to my preparation of the DELF B2 exam at the Alliance Française, which I took and passed in June. I did not waste any time and immediately signed up for Arabic classes with Abjadiyah language program.
While I have not been able to do some of my favorite hobbies, like painting, I have made time to prioritize my health and go to the gym. I had not realize until recently that I really needed to work out for the sake of my mental health. My body needed some tuning as well, and life tends to try and drown us with mundane activities that drain us physically and emotionally. Lifting weights and swimming has helped me take control of both my mind and body. We all go through ups and downs, and this year I was reminded that health is wealth. The priority is to live long enough to accomplish all of our dreams and spend time with the ones we love. Going to the gym for an hour a day might not seem like a big deal, reading a chapter a day of a new book might sound insignificant, those thirty minutes spent listening to a language lesson might make me feel further away from dominating a new language than before, but I just have to remember that all those little wins.... will lead to big things!
